The grocery checkout line isn't exactly the kind of place that comes to mind in discussions of inspirational places- unless you visit Bill Seabach at the Severna Park Giant. Mr. Seabach, 61, does all he can to turn what can be a routine chore into a memorable moment. He forges friendships in the brief time customers stand at his register, and passes along upbeat advice.
For the past 2 1/2 years, he's done this with more than just a smile and pleasant banter. Each time he hands out a receipt, he also gives customers a special business card with an inspirational saying.
In all, Mr. Seabach has passed out about 24,000 cards with sayings ranging from "thank you" and "seize the day" to "life is but a dream" and "enjoy fall's splendor." The cards either have "Bill' printed on the bottom right corner, or the first name of the former store manger, who recently retired.

About 45 minutes from Rowan sits a pearl in the middle of a sea of mediocre eateries. Bahama Breeze, located in the Cherry Hill Mall off Route 38, is as refreshing as a gust of air from the ocean.Calling the place a bar and grill does not do justice to the variety of foods offered. Seafood is the specialty; however, its beef and chicken dishes are nothing to turn one's nose up at.
For the carb-conscious consumer, a wide variety of salads - both hot and cold - are available. I exchanged the rice included with my pan-seared, orange sauce tilapia dish for cooked broccoli with no hassle. When the tilapia's thin orange glaze dripped from my fork, I knew I was closer to paradise than a moment before. Did I mention I am a fan of seafood?
The noise level may be a drawback to this establishment for some patrons.
