Oh My - The Most Beautiful Bond Girl Yet?

From the highly sensual Ursula Andress as Honey Rider to the electric Halle Berry as Jinx, every James Bond film is known as much for one gorgeous female character as it is for its high tech action and suave sophistication.But when it comes to the most recent selection, the casting folks hope they have broken the vault with Caterina Murino. The exotic beauty plays Solange in the latest Bond endeavor, Casino Royale, the first of Ian Fleming's wondrous Bond books.
Somehow, the beautiful Murino managed only a fourth place finish in the 1996 Miss Italy contest. However, the actress seems to have aged superbly since. The native of Cagliari, Sardinia reportedly may hit a new Bond moment of fame with her ride atop a white horse on a beautiful Bahama beach.
'Potcakes' receive warm welcome in Florida
Nearly two dozen pups were flown to Florida from Grand Bahama to take up temporary residence at the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in West Palm Beach before they are adopted into new families.The puppies, known in The Bahamas as potcakes, are mixed-breed dogs and range in age from eight to 16 weeks.
In fact, they received a warm reception when they arrived in Ft. Lauderdale with the U.S. media waiting.
The Humane Society of Grand Bahama has dubbed this new programme "Operation Puppy Lift" which has been running for the last two years.
Another 20 were sent over to the Florida humane society two weeks ago.
"This group is one of the biggest shelters in Palm Beach County and they heard about our problem and that we had so many puppies and they can find homes for them," HSGB Managing Director Elizabeth "Tip" Burrows told The Freeport News.

AirTran Airways Weather Update
Based on the current forecasts for Tropical Storm Ernesto by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways has cancelled 31 flights into and out of the following cities: Fort Myers, Fla., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., West Palm Beach, Fla., and Miami, Fla., today and tomorrow. Depending on the path of the storm, flights to Orlando, Fla., and Grand Bahama Island may be affected as well.Passengers scheduled to fly into or out of these cities through August 30, 2006, are being offered the opportunity to alter their flight itineraries without change fees or fare adjustments. Every effort is being made by AirTran Airways to notify the affected passengers of these flight cancellations and to make alternate travel arrangements.

An unexpected paradise is found
I admit it: when it comes to travel, I'm a snob. I'm only interested in the "real." I would rather eat guinea pig in a Mongolian yurt than sleep on a feather pillow in a $1,000-per-night luxury resort.But with the summer rapidly dwindling, my wife Shelly and I were looking for a quick, easy and inexpensive escape. We settled on Grand Bahama Island. I resigned myself to the simple pleasures of frolicking in the ocean. I certainly didn't expect anything more.
Sure enough, by the end of the first day at our massive beachfront hotel, I was bored. Renting a minuscule Toyota, we set out in search of some real culture or undisturbed natural beauty.
We pulled into a tiny fishing village and I asked a local for some recommendations. Picking up on my obvious desperation, he leveled his eyes and whispered conspiratorially, giving me convoluted directions to "the most beautiful beach in the islands.
Francis named to Board
Former Grand Bahama Port Authority Chief Executive Officer and Co-chairman Julian Francis is the newest appointee to the Grand Bahama Yacht Club Board of Directors. In fact, it is a first for New Hope Holdings, which has never had a Bahamian on its board.The company was recently acquired by Preben Olesen, chairman and chief executive officer of the Grand Bahama Yacht Club, who plans to build a mega yachters' haven by merging the two marinas, constructing a condo hotel, a condominium and townhouse development and a clubhouse in Port Lucaya and a beach club on Taino Beach.
The project is a $500 million undertaking.
Mr Francis' appointment is said to be the first of many plans for Bahamians at the company.
