BODOG HEADS FOR THE BAHAMAS

You can't keep a good online gambling group down! The Bodog group's conference organisers have made a remarkably fast recovery following the postponement of the company's popular marketing conference in Vegas last month following Department of Justice activities in the BetonSports case (see earlier Online-Casinos.com and InfoPowa bulletins)

The 2006 Bodog.com Marketing Conference has a new date (still to be confirmed), and a proposed new home that's spectacular to say the least.

Atlantis in the Bahamas is an epic resort development on Paradise Island that has a way of turning business into pleasure and the everyday into the extraordinary. Conference-goers will become thrill seekers, sun worshippers, archeologists and adventurers at Atlantis.com, a stunning fantasy land devised and built with no cost spared by international entrepreneur Sol Kerzner.

Katrina Survivors Meet Miracle Dolphins

Nowhere are they more abundant than with the "Miracle 16" dolphins, giving reason to smile to some of the hurricane's human victims.

As the hurricane approached, half of these dolphins were evacuated from their home at the Gulfport, Miss., Oceanarium to hotel pools on high ground.

Eight had to stay behind, and eventually they disappeared.

"From all the stories and accounts of the way the storm hit, we believe the water rose and a big wave knocked out their show pool," said Teri Corbett of the Marine Mammal Operations at the Atlantis hotel in the Bahamas.

"How they got out, who knows?"

Two weeks later, all eight dolphins, including two mothers and their babies, were spotted alive and together.

"A few of them got beat up," Corbett said.

One Year After Hurricane Katrina Devastated the Gulf Region, Displaced Children and Dolphins Connect for the Future

It has been one year since Hurricane Katrina ripped through the Gulf States and changed the lives of thousands of families. It has also been one year since the former Gulfport, Mississippi residents of the destroyed Marine Life Oceanarium, known the world over as the "the Katrina Dolphins", were rescued from the Mississippi Sound by their trainers and dozens of volunteers. Of the many who were relocated after the storm, seventeen children and their families came together at the dolphins' new home, Dolphin Cay at Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas, to adopt the Katrina Dolphins, during what was both a moving reunion and unforgettable experience.

These special dolphins have become a symbol of hope, having adapted wonderfully, living in their new home on Paradise Island in The Bahamas and exploring a new life.
