Bahamas - Choosing a Family RestaurantThere are many family restaurants in the Bahamas, and they all serve good food. Finding an amazing restaurant, however, is a bit difficult; the menu, the crowd, and the entertainment are all important. All of the restaurants in the Bahamas are not suitable for families; many of them contain loud people who love to party. A good family place has to have a great crowd, food, and or course, entertainment. A few restaurants in the Bahamas have all of these elements; however, the challenge is finding the best one. The Blue Marlin, Dimino's, The Poop Deck, and Anthony's are all crowd favorites, but some kids will prefer other restaurants instead. If you have small children, do not worry, you will find many places that have outstanding kid's menus in the Bahamas as well. The Blue Marlin is an appropriate location for families with active, playful kids. At this restaurant, children get to participate in different fun activities before or after dinner. The limbo game is very popular; however, it should be done before the meal instead of afterwards to avoid sickness. Limbo is not the only fun activity that occurs at the Blue Marlin; there are stage shows that take place during the night too. During the shows, many kids get on the stage to entertain everyone in the audience. Although the limbo game and the stage events are amusing, the food at The Blue Marlin, however, is not so good. The dishes do not taste awful, but there are other places in the Bahamas that serve better food. Anthony's is the ideal spot for choosey eaters, and The Poop Deck is a marvelous restaurant for fish, chicken, or steak dinners. If a distance relative plans to join your family on the vacation, Anthony's would be the ideal restaurant to visit. Since you will not know what types of dishes that person likes, there is a good chance that the individual will love Anthony's menu. As for The Poop Deck, you should go there if everyone really likes basic types of dinners. Small kids, however, are sometimes extremely choosey eaters, and they may want to eat U.S food while in the Bahamas. There are many United States restaurants on the islands; MacDonald's, Burger King, and KFC are all located near most hotels. |

Ziogigi and Dimino are dandy places as
well, but only for specific reasons. Ziogigi is an outstanding place to visit if
your family is somewhat hungry and want a small meal. The only negative thing
about this place is that the food is a bit pricey. Dimino, however, is not as
expensive, and it is an excellent restaurant to call for take out meals. Their
delivery service is quite handy after a long day of touring the Bahamas.
The Bahamas has tons of family style restaurants, and each one is unique is its own way. The Blue Marlin is a fantastic spot for kids, but the food is not amazing. The Poop Deck and Anthony's are terrific casual places, but Anthony's is most suitable for choosey eaters. If everyone wants a small, less filling meal, Ziogigi is a great choose. Finally, when no one wants to cook after a tiring day, Dominos is the restaurant to call due to its excellent delivery service. Easy access to The Bahamas is one reason for its long-standing popularity as a winter holiday destination. Only a few miles from the south Florida coast, in fact closer than Caribbean destinations, the islands can be reached quickly either by air or by sea. The Bahama Islands temperatures rarely drop below 60 degrees F, or rise above 90 degrees F. Most of the rain fall occurs in the summer months. The sea temperature ranges from the low 80's in the summer to about 74 degrees F in the winter Find the best vacation deal, compare prices and read what other travelers have to say at Bahamas Vacation Hotel Links to other Caribbean islands Anguilla Aruba Barbados Bermuda Bonaire Cuba Curacao Dominica Dominican Republic Grenada Guadeloupe Haiti Jamaica Martinique Montserrat Puerto Rico Saba St. Barthelemy St. Eustatius St. Lucia St. Maarten/St. Martin |
